Nicky Heymans is an exciting new author of historical fiction. Her first novels, ‘Into the Wilderness’ and ‘Then There Were Giants’, are set in ancient Israel, around the time of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt. Reviewers say these books will “transport you back in time …you won’t be disappointed!”
In September 2023, a few months after ‘Into the Wilderness’ was published, it was nominated and then chosen as a finalist in the Historical Fiction category of the Christian Indie Awards 2024. The results are due to be released in May 2024.
Although born in the United Kingdom, Nicky lived the first forty years of her life in Zimbabwe, Africa, where she met and married her husband, Kingsley, with whom she had three children. Nicky’s writing career began when she felt prompted to blog about her family’s journey with faith and loss after her mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Following on from that, Nicky started writing novels, and hasn’t looked back! She currently lives in Swansea, South Wales and is working on the third book in the Wilderness trilogy, due for release in 2024.
