Dianne Koebel-Pede

Dianne is a former elementary school teacher and is grateful to have been able to share a love of literature throughout her career. She continues to foster a love of reading through her writing and website. Her days are spent writing, hiking, reading, and learning as much as possible.

She wrote My Soccer Season to share the joy of the game and encourage children to explore and pursue their interests. Seeing children do what they love and love what they do makes her heart sing. Her favorite soccer memory is from high school and playing in lunchtime intramurals. Dianne wasn’t an all-star player, but she had fun, a lot of laughs, and a few gaffes.

Dianne lives in the swampland bordering the Alberta Rocky Mountains. Wearing rubber boots to cut the grass is a necessity at times. She shares her swamp with birds, squirrels, mosquitos, and her hilarious husband, Don.

Three of Dianne’s picture book manuscripts have been longlisted in the CANSCAIP Writing for Children Competition. She is the secretary for the Edson & District Friends of the Public Library, and an active member of CANSCAIP, SCBWI, WGA, and several writing groups.

She would love to connect with you on social media or through her website.
