Scott A. Thompson

Scott Thompson is an aviation historian and photographer who has written numerous books and articles about vintage aircraft and warbirds. His primary historical interest has concentrated on the postwar use of the B-17. He has also specialized in documenting the history of Hollywood pilots Paul Mantz and Frank Tallman. He retired from a long career as an FAA flight inspection pilot in November 2021, and lives with his wife in Lincoln, California.
