Frederick Grant

Frederick (aka Federico)Grant studied Marine Biology, Ornithology, Botany, zoology, and Geology at the University of Costa Rica. Additionally, he studied at the University of Wyoming obtaining an Outdoor Naturalist Certification, enabling him to work in Grand Teton NP, and in Yellowstone NP as a certified Naturalist. He has worked as a Naturalist, Lecturer, and Wildlife Expert in Alaska, Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands, Hawaii, Mexico, and in the Sub Antarctic regions of South America. He has CR Ministry of Tourism guide license #17 since 1985, making him one of the pioneers of ecotourism in Costa Rica.

He also studied Psychobiology, Literature, and Linguistics at UCLA. In 2017 he studied Mindfulness at the University of Leiden, Netherlands. Since then he has been meditating every day.
