Lucie HEUREND

My name is Lucie Heurend, a 16-year-old high school student. Behind this pseudonym lies a tale few would imagine. About a year ago, I was consumed by the dark vortex of addiction, with TikTok as the main culprit. This obsession led me to a severe panic attack, resulting in my hospitalization.

Thankfully, I found in psychotherapy a lifeline, aiding me to navigate towards recovery. However, my recuperation didn't just give me back my life; it also provided me with a mission. With the invaluable help of my mother, I co-wrote "TikTok Killed Me," a poignant work that paints a picture of my journey and the insidious dangers of social media.

This book, co-authored by both of us, aims to be more than just a testimony. It's a call to vigilance, intended to educate both my peers and parents about the potentially devastating consequences of addiction to platforms like TikTok.

With "TikTok Killed Me," I aim not only to share my story but also to shed light on the path for those who might find themselves trapped as I once was.
