Shanarama

Shanarama is a writer and illustrator of Children’s Books, who was born and bred in London. Having a background in Architecture and Film Set Design has greatly informed her storytelling abilities. In 2018 she was Runner-up in the Stratford Literary Festival Children's Book Competition. Shanarama works across a variety of genres and enjoys working with both traditional and digital methods, often combining handmade artwork with a sprinkling of digital magic. She is usually tucked up in the corner of her local coffee shop, dreaming up stories and drawing away.

When not cooking up books and artwork, Shanarama can be found sketching and exploring the urban jungle: watching movies, weaving through galleries, and hanging out with her family and friends.
