David’s love affair with the written word began at a young age, nurtured by the encouragement of a grandmother who held the arts, and creativity, in high esteem. It was this very encouragement that introduced him to the world of storytelling, and, ultimately, was the reason he would embark on a journey that would shape his life's passion.

At the age of seven, David discovered the magic of reading and writing, penning his first stories with youthful enthusiasm. It was during these formative years that poetry emerged as a profound expression of emotion and introspection. Using verse as a therapeutic outlet, David found solace and understanding amidst life's complexities. In middle school, a pivotal moment arrived when David’s mother handed him “The Seagull Reader: Poetry”, an anthology of poetry, compiled by Joseph Kelly. This collection introduced him to the works of more mature poets, and ignited David’s obsession with the literary medium. Despite the lack of formal training and education in poetry, David instinctively poured his heart onto the page, weaving words into evocative tapestries of emotion and insight.

For David, the true essence of publishing lies in the hope that his poetry resonates with others, offering solace, inspiration, and healing, much like the poets who have profoundly impacted his own life's journey.

Today, David continues to honor his grandmother's love of creativity, and the transformative power of poetry, sharing his soulful verses with the world in the belief that words have the ability to illuminate the human experience and connect hearts across the vast expanse of existence.
