John Brittain

Dr. John Brittain is a veteran French and Spanish educator with over 30 years of classroom experience. A passionate advocate for comprehensible input and language acquisition through storytelling, he has designed nationally used curricula including Ça Marche! and ¡VALE!, which combine compelling narratives with intentional grammar and vocabulary progression.

John has taught at all levels from kindergarten to post-secondary, served as department chair, and mentored new teachers while leading innovative world language programs. He holds a doctorate in Teacher Leadership from Kennesaw State University and has delivered professional learning on effective language instruction.

When he’s not creating readers and curriculum tools for language learners, John is exploring new countries (he’s traveled to 10 and counting) and is currently learning Italian and German to expand his offerings of language materials. His mission is simple: to make language learning accessible, low-stress, and deeply rewarding—for students and teachers alike.
