Writing was something I enjoyed from an early age, although my first love was football, and in particular, Everton Football Club. Though never quite good enough to turn professional and pull on the Royal Blue, my passion for football never waned and paved the way to the written word. I did eventually join Everton, although in the capacity of the Communications department. Here, I was able to write for the website, the club’s official charity, Everton in the Community and Everton Women. It was here that I found that I enjoyed writing about people more than the actual football itself.

Writing for Everton’s charity presented me with a chance to team up with the Liverpool Echo to produce a weekly column for the local paper on Disability football. The successful column ran for two years and covered the footballing achievements of Everton in the Community’s many Disability teams, including the Deaf, Wheelchair and Pan Disability sides.

Never did I think about fictional writing as something I would actually do until my path crossed with a wonderful lady on Twitter, who just happened to own Provoco Publishing.

In October 2023 I will be 40 and A Scandal of Secrets is now available to buy. I couldn’t really think of a better birthday present then having my work published.

Future endeavours include more writing, which will include another adventure for Crawford (I'm already writing the sequel) as well as a series of children’s books that have been inspired by my daughter, Daisy-Mae.

I look on Roald Dahl, Stephen King and Patricia Cornwell amongst my literary heroes and inspirations.
