I was given a wonderful opportunity to be one of the authors in volume 9 of Woman Like Me Whispers of Warriors. I experienced severe domestic violence at the hands of a convicted killer and escaped. I hope that my story will benefit those experiencing domestic violence. Strong advocacy is needed to change domestic violence laws to ensure the safety of those who flee. I am working on a second book and hope that I can draw enough attention to get an investigative documentary done in hopes of raising awareness as to how laws and judicial procedures need to be changed based on how my case was handled. I thank everyone whom have supported this book and to all the authors whom have contributed. Together we can make a difference.
