Bishop Leroy C. E. Newman

After 40 years of pastoring Bishop Newman now serves as Chief Apostle of Friendly Church Ministries International and one of the founders of the Ecumenical Congress of Bishops and Pastors. He has held workshops to enhance believers pursuit of excellence, their battel with mental health, and increasing one’s commitment, dedication, and devotion; Bishop Newman has served as a motivational speaker at high schools throughout the country; he has served as enhancer in adult day-care and rehabilitation centers throughout the city of New York; Bishop Newman has help lunch more than 30 ministries in 8 states: Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma, New York, and New Jersey. and currently oversee 16 ministries and/or churches. His children owe their giftedness to him; it was he who inspired them to be what they are (even if they don’t admit it). He is the author of six books and have published 7 other book under church titles “The Birthing of the Church,” Bishop is a semester, a cook, and a musician in his own right.

All has not been peaches and cream; there have been some failures and disappointments and lost opportunities; some pastors walked away from his leadership, but he never walked away from supporting their visionary pursuit. Bishop Newman believes that failure is the seedbed for creativity and discovery.

His most famous phrase is: Commitment, dedication and devotion turns vision into reality, God will never take you to a place in ministry where you are forced to retreat. He the member of several civic organizations and local political clubs. Bishop Newman’s advice to aging leaders, don’t be afraid to trust another leader with your vision; develop a successor, share your vision with him or her and watch your vision become reality; too many time aging pastoral leaders hold their office of pastor beyond the ability to turn their vision into reality
