Michael John Petty

Michael John Petty is an award-winning author, screenwriter, podcaster, and filmmaker. When he isn’t writing, he enjoys long scenic drives, mountainous hikes, fellowship with his local church, and a good Western. Michael is the creative force behind The Bear-tooth Mountain Archive, which began with "The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain," and the author of several Shane Cassidy adventures. His short story, "The Devil’s Left Hand," won the Spur Award for Best Short Western Fiction in 2025.
