Minakshi Dewan

Minakshi Dewan is a researcher and writer with a PhD in Social Medicine and Community Health. Her work explores gender, traditional healing, disability, and the lived realities of marginalised communities. Her bestselling non-fiction book The Final Farewell, featured in leading Indian and international publications — has been nominated for an award by the Association for the Study of Death and Society (ASDS).

Minakshi’s writing has appeared in The Hindu, Deccan Herald, Devex, and The Telegraph. She has also authored a children’s book with Pratham Books and presented her research at prestigious global forums, including the American Anthropological Association.

Collaborating with international organisations, award-winning filmmakers, and global production houses, she works to bring powerful human stories to life.
