Ann and I have been married for 51 years. We have two children and five grandchildren.
I became a professor at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho in 1997. I retired in 2016 as Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Formation. For twenty years prior to coming to NNU I pastored churches in Washington State.
In retirement I teach as an adjunct professor, work as a consultant to churches and districts, preach when invited, write books, and do seminars in pastoral and spiritual topics.
I love playing guitar and Djembe, motorcycling, golfing, bicycling, camping, Dutch Oven cooking, Pickleball, ping pong, watching great movies, traveling domestically (we try to hit all the National Parks) and Internationally (over 30 countries so far).
