Shirley Giles Davis believes that you weren't created by accident—you were created with a purposeful design. With decades of experience as a consultant, life coach, and facilitator, Shirley has dedicated her career to one mission: helping individuals and organizations move from "busy" or “ineffective to on-purpose and thriving.
As the author of the transformative Unique Design suite—including God. Gifts. You., its companion Class Guide, and the Facilitator Guide—Shirley provides a practical roadmap for anyone looking to discover their spiritual gifts and flourish in their unique calling. Her work is now accessible to an even broader audience through the Spanish edition, Dios. Dones. Tú.
Since 1999, Shirley has served as the Catalyst for Equipping Ministries at Grace Commons Church in Boulder, Colorado. Her expertise is grounded in deep academic and professional soil, holding a BA from Stanford University and an MS from Boston University. She has coached thousands of gifts class participants and trained hundreds of leaders across diverse sectors, from national non-profits to Group Publishing’s Equipping Institutes to the National Sheriffs’ Executive Leadership Institute.
Whether she is speaking at a church, facilitating a leadership retreat, writing her daily devotional, God’s Affirmations for You, or consulting with high-level executives, Shirley’s approach remains the same: warm, insightful, collaborative, and deeply intentional. She blends her extensive media background in radio and television with a heart for spiritual direction to help others silence their inner critic and hear God’s voice.
When she isn’t helping others flourish, Shirley is likely traveling the world with her husband. Together, they have explored all six continents multiple times, often visiting their two daughters who live and work abroad.
