Svetozar Postic

Svetozar Poštić is Associate Professor of Philology at Vilnius University in Lithuania, where he has been employed since 2013. He holds an MA in Slavic Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of South Carolina. He has taught English language, literature and culture, French language, Russian language and literature, and Serbian language, literature and culture at universities in the United States, Serbia and South Korea. He is the author of four books on literary criticism and cultural theory in Serbian, as well as two books in English: Seven Russian Archetypes: Recurring Types in Russian History and Culture (Eugene, OR: Wipf and Stock, 2023) and The Fool and the Clown in Western Culture and Literature: Homo Insipiens (New York: Routledge, 2025)
