Brent Bernardi

Currently CEO of Alpha Controls & Services, Brent is a thirty-nine-year veteran of the HVAC and Controls Industry. He earned his Associate of Applied Science from Rock Valley College in 1982 and his BS in Electrical Engineering Technology, with a minor in Business from Bradley University in 1984. Brent’s nineteen-year career at Barber-Colman Company/Siebe Environmental Controls/Invensys Building Systems consisted of various engineering, marketing, and branch management roles, and then several executive management positions, concluding as the VP/General Manager of North American operations. During Brent’s 20-year co-ownership of Alpha Controls & Services, Brent has served multiple times as President of the industry peer group called InsideIQ.

Away from the business world, Brent has served as the President of his Church Congregation, Treasurer of the local United Way Board, Executive Committee on local Park District and Community College foundations, as well as participating in numerous other local community boards.

Brent is an avid Golfer at this point in his life, he enjoys road cycling, had a lifetime of Tennis Competition and enjoys downhill skiing during the winter months. More importantly, Brent enjoys spending time with his Wife of 40 years and his three children and their spouses, and soon his grandchildren.
