Heather and Claire are a mother-daughter writing team who get inspiration from their own mini farm. From chickens, to horses, fish and pigs, their farm is full of animals who provide countless ideas for their stories.
Heather is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with young children and families. She is endorsed with the Infant Toddler Mental Health Coalition of Arizona and rostered in Child Parent Psychotherapy.
She currently runs a private practice and cofounder of Ground Work, a nonprofit to increase access to mental health care in Arizona.
She works with families who have young children to help strengthen parent child relationships and increase joy. Teaching children about their feelings helps decrease tantrums and reduce stress.
Heather is married, has two awesome children and loves animals. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, being outside and spending time with family and friends.
Claire is in 6th grade and passionate about softball, plays the cello and likes hanging out with her friends and family. She also enjoys journaling, horseback riding and eating gnocchi.
This mother daughter duo hope to increase smiles, promote a love a reading and a feeling of connection for children and adults through their farm series with lovable animals and connected stories.
