Gerard Legerstee (1956) grew up in Rotterdam (Netherlands). He has been working for over forty years in finance departments at several large institutions (Hollandsche Beton Groep, AMFAS, Nationale-Nederlanden, ING, SNS/REAAL and Delta Lloyd). For a long time, the work consisted of analyzing and reporting planned and achieved results of business units (including as head of Management Accounting Group/Insurance at ING's head office). Later, the field shifted to managing change processes within finance (including as head of Program & Change Management) and participating in complex finance projects as an independent interim project leader. In 2013, the author discovered the pleasure of writing books and completed his first book “SplitsIng”, in which he highlighted the special aspects of his long career. Legerstee is married, has two children and two grandchildren and has lived in Bergschenhoek since the end of 1999. Since 2021 he has been affiliated with Oostland Literair (collaboration of local writers). In addition to his volunteer work for KiKa (Children Cancer Free) and Humanitas Home Administration, Legerstee is busy with his various hobbies: active (running and swimming) and passive (watching) sports, reading and writing books and movies and television series.
