My name is Christine and I am a retired medical secretary/shopkeeper. I have been married for 42 years and have two wonderful grown up children and one perfect grandchild, Joseph. When my children were young I achieved a BA in history and literature, via the Open University, and have always enjoyed reading and writing. The eldest of five children, I enjoyed reading or creating stories for my younger siblings. Both my children are avid readers and even young Joseph at 15 months, has his own shelves of books.

Since retiring I have been able to indulge my need to write and I also volunteer at my local primary school to hear the children read. Covid has impacted on all levels of society, none more so than those poor children who were unable to start school and begin their journey towards a love of books. I hope that my small contribution and boundless encouragement will help redress this situation. I am a firm believer that if you can read you can achieve anything.
