Carlin Wade Allen

I grew up and have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area all my life. I’ve traveled here and there, but nowhere has been like the Bay Area. I love the diversity of cultures and perspectives, which add richness and insight into who we are as human beings and the commonalities which bring us together.

I’ve known I wanted to be a storyteller probably since the 9th grade, but I had always figured I wasn’t good enough, or no one would be interested in whatever I had to say. My biggest mistake (and regret) was listening to all that negativity in my head. I spent a lot of time circumventing my dream of writing, having earned a Bachelor in film, working in the legal field for a time, and earning a Masters in business, only to come full circle back to writing. I often wonder how different things might have been if I had just listened to my second year college English professor!

But better late than never, right?
