John Christopher Nelson's youth was split between a defunct dairy farm on ninety-four acres of chaparral in East County San Diego and a silver-boom mining town in the central Nevada high desert. He has moved thirty-two times and currently lives with his partner and their cat, Proulx, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. He earned his BA in American Literature from UCLA and is a graduate of the Stonecoast MFA at the University of Southern Maine. John's mediums include fiction and creative nonfiction, ranging from literary to genre work, and from flash to novel-length pieces. His writing can be found in various literary journals and zines, including The New Guard, Able Muse, Chiron Review, The Blotter, Every Day Fiction, DUM DUM Zine, BE ABOUT IT Zine, The Real Story, and elsewhere.
