Gillian Eilidh O?Mara

Gillian Eilidh O’Mara is an artist and writer of Scottish birth and Irish heritage who now lives in County Durham, where she has learned to love the northern heartlands almost as much as the light on the North Sea back home. She lives in an intentional community with 10 other people and spends her time drawing, day-dreaming and raising two curly-headed girls plus a curly-haired dog. She is the illustrator of several picture books and some books for adults, and also works with children’s theatres and storytelling centres as a community artist and facilitator. She particularly loves Bobble Hats.
