The co-authors are father & son, Michael and Lennon.

Michael is a late blooming children’s book author who began writing stories in 2019 after being inspired while reading a bedtime story to his son, Lennon. Grumpy Pumpkin is his first published manuscript co-authored with his son Lennon, who created the Grumpy Pumpkin storyline and main character Percival P. Pumpkin. He has plans to start a non-profit focusing on children’s literacy around nutrition, exercise, fitness, social, and financial awareness. The non-profit also aims to provide support and assistance for families with neurodivergent children. Proceeds from Grumpy Pumpkin and forthcoming books will go to support his foundation.

Lennon is a force! Creative, kind and musically inclined are just a few words that describe this fun and socially outgoing 4th grade boy. Powered by ADHD and neurodivergent enabled, Lennon’s imagination and curiosity has led him to explore and engage in a variety of artistic activities. However, his main love is music, with playing piano, guitar, and drums as instruments of choice. Lennon’s future is an unwritten sheet of music and a story writing itself each day.
