Mr Willment

Mr (Mat) Willment was born in Wales but now lives in Maidstone, Kent. He taught in a British primary school for almost eight years before making the difficult decision to leave the profession. Since then, he has taken to writing children's books inspired by the experiences and memories he's made in the classroom. Mat hopes that children, but also teachers, will be able to relate to his stories and enjoy the school-related insights and jokes they contain. He also wants to encourage reluctant readers - of which he was one growing up - to start taking pleasure from books and maybe even write some!
