Hmm, so about me? Well, I was born in a small town in the south of the U. S. of A. Then some stuff happened. Eventually, I ended up working at Lowe’s Inside Lawn and Garden for seven dollars and twenty-five cents an hour. It was Friday and I had agreed to stay over at the request of my manager—Francis. A Ms Bennett called during this time beyond the end of my shift and Ms Bennett had a problem. You see, she had recently bought a Troy Built push mower from my very location, then took it home and started it without putting oil in the engine. And it was during this very call that I said to myself, Self, you need a little more adventure in your life.
So, I became a writer!
No, wait. That was later. I mean, I joined the military!
The military was great. Or rather, it was awful. But in hindsight it was the best time of my life! I got to play soldier for twelve years and that part’s true because I was counting.
About four years into my sentence—which followed a tour to Iraq—I got to attend flight school! That really was a great time. Afterwards, I got to go make sure the desert was still there. And in case you were wondering, it was! I did other things during my soldier time. I saw several bouts of training.
Eventually, I grew more protective over my trains of thoughts, my beliefs, and my actions so I said to Uncle Sam, “Uncle, it’s time I go my own way.” So I left.
Then I became a wri—err, a medevac pilot. Yep. I was definitely a medevac pilot next. But I dreamed of being a writer. I dabbled a bit in writing during my spare time. But back in 2019 and just before Covid introduced itself, my job said, “I think you should follow your dream of becoming a writer, because I totally believe in you and it’s not at all related to our closing of this work location.”
Well, that’s convenient. I wanted to be a writer and my old job wanted me to be a writer, so here we are, in the future—or rather in the present, but it’s the future of that past exchange. Ah, you get what I’m saying.
So, yeah. I think that pretty much sums up my bio. I love storytelling, passionate storytelling, and reiterating things for emphasis! But I also video games, music, reading, art, anime, and Siberian Huskies…and not necessarily in that order. Hehe
Anywho, I truly hope that something in my writing is rewarding, satisfying, and even meaningful in some way. I write with an earnest desire to enrich the experience of my readers. So, if you find yourself in my fandom, I’m so very happy to have you here. And I hope you find pleasant company with my characters and among other readers who share your passion for stories.
Thank you for reading about me and I hope you’ll forgive my unhinged bits. We’re all a little mad sometimes.
Enjoy your visit to my worlds and as always:
Happy reading,
JT
