As a young man, I aspired to find ways to use my skills in music and education to help others. I found that I had a dual career brewing in education and in music. I taught during the day, and I played whenever I could during my off hours. As a musician with lots of experience as a conductor, composer, and trumpet player, I landed a part time job as a church music director. Later, I became a school principal, yet my church music director role stayed. When I left the education profession, I began to focus solely on music – writing, playing, conducting, teaching (privately), and performing. I see a very valuable connection between music and worship, and music, when presented properly, can draw us closer to God. As a principal and music teacher, I helped prepare students for concerts and for the next phase of their lives academically. Now, as a church music director, I help people prepare for eternity.
