Dr. Carolyn Mamchur, in her role as Professor, Writer in Residence at Simon Fraser University , Jungian psychologist, has won awards for both her academic writing and her fiction. Having studied with such greats as Harry Crews and Edward Albee, Isabel Myers and Dorothy Heathcote, she brings a deep knowledge of language and human nature to everything she writes.

Her passion to experience life to its fullest and her conviction that life, in all its forms, is sacred and deserves her deepest attention has brought her face to face with adventures most would deem unlikely for a tenured professor, an animal guardian and the president of a consulting company serving industry, health and education. These professional interests merely provide opportunity for her to explore many places others might pass by in their fear of rejection, failure or ridicule.
