Abbey Melvin is a special education teacher with an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in special education-severe disabilities, from Johns Hopkins University.
Abbey has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students within the special education population, but found her true calling in the areas of emotional disabilities and behavioral disorders.
Abbey lives in the Washington, DC area with her deaf, and absolutely adorable, Dalmatian mutt named Jackson. When she is not teaching, Abbey spends her time on a side business, enjoys walking Jackson, and loves a good nap!
