Dr. Cedric Alford

Dr. Cedric D. Alford is a technology executive, organizational scholar, and author whose work sits at the intersection of data, leadership, and human experience.

With over 30 years leading enterprise technology and go-to-market strategy for Fortune 500 companies — including director roles at Microsoft and Pegasystems — Dr. Alford has spent his career watching organizations make decisions about people. That vantage point shapes everything he writes.

His research began with a doctoral dissertation examining the lived experiences of women in IT leadership, work that has grown into a continuing body of writing on bias, belonging, and what organizations choose not to see. Women in IT Careers, Beyond the Algorithm, and They Already Knew trace that thread from the boardroom to the algorithm — using research, narrative, and firsthand observation to name what data alone cannot.

He brings the same rigor to his personal writing. The F.O.R.E.V.E.R. W.E.D. workbook series draws on organizational leadership research, Scripture, and 25+ years of marriage to give couples the practical framework most never receive.

Dr. Alford holds a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from UT Austin's McCombs School of Business. He is faculty at Colorado State University Global and Southern New Hampshire University, and President of XylaWorks, Inc., an AI-powered career intelligence platform.

He lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his wife, Bonita.
