Thomas Radzienda

Thomas has been nurturing his spiritual path since arriving in Thailand in the early 1990s. He has been teaching meditation, Reiki, nutrition and compassion since the early 2000s.

In addition to his development of health and spirituality, he taught poetry, literature and media analysis at Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok for 12 years. During that time he was also contributing two regular columns to the Bangkok Post called “Poet’s Post” and “Poet Tree.” In the early 2000s he began seeking deeper levels of truth through mediation, Reiki and plant-based nutrition. He teaches these disciplines at his school “Reiki Chiang Mai.”

Thomas published “Personal Transformation through Reiki” in both English and Thai languages to expand awareness of the potential of self-healing. Since then he has continued digging into the depths of health, spirit and consciousness as a unified whole.

He lives with his wife and dog in rural northern Thailand in the midst of an organic fruit orchard where he embodies every aspect of “Hands-on Spiritual Liberation.” This life embraces continual practice of meditation, energy healing, veganism, quality time with sun, rain and soil cultivated through his own blood, sweat and occasional tears.

His books share all of these techniques, experiences and perspectives with students and readers from around the world to nurture the wisdom that our world so painfully needs. Meanwhile, he is also an animal rights activist in Thailand, publishing and distributing tens of thousands of booklets to inspire others to practice kindness towards all animals.

His life experience from being a technical manager in Chicago in the 1980s to being a meditating farmer in Thailand in the 2020s has nurtured Thomas at every level of his being. With 30 years of teaching experience along with 20 years of writing and publishing experience, he is very well-rounded. When he's not busy with all of these projects, Thomas tends his orchard, plays classical piano and creates abstract paintings.
