Yann Bouvier

Yann Bouvier is a historian. He is a high school history and geopolitics teacher, an associate researcher at the Center for the Modern and Contemporary Mediterranean (Côte d'Azur University), and also a lecturer in the Master's program in Public History at INU Champollion in Albi.

Under the pseudonym @yanntoutcourt, he popularizes history and has amassed 1.3 million followers.

He is particularly interested in questioning the origins of contemporary mobilizations in the past and deconstructing pseudo-historical discourses.

His graphic novel Microcosmes. L'Histoire de France à taille humaine (First, 2023) was a great success in bookstores. In 2024, it received the Jury's Favorite Mention for the Institut de France - Fondation S. Bern pour l'Histoire History Prize.
