Ted Holmes is an esteemed educator, technology specialist, and advocate for social change. With a multifaceted career spanning roles in the U.S. Army, the Department of Defense, and the Louisiana Department of Education, Ted brings a unique blend of leadership, expertise, and passion to the world of education and technology.
Holding a Master of Arts degree in Management and Leadership/Executive Leadership from Liberty University, a Master of Education degree in Education Technology from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education degree in Education Leadership from The Broad Center for Urban Education, Ted possesses the academic credentials that underpin his practical experience. In addition, his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Trident University International and industry certifications in cyber security, ITIL, CCENT, and cyber defense equip him with a comprehensive skill set.
As the founder of Houston L.E.A.D. Preparatory Academy (HLPA), Ted has dedicated himself to empowering K-8th grade students with autism and related disorders through high-quality, project-based education. The Academy's mission reflects Ted’s lifelong commitment to creating equitable opportunities for students, preparing them to be leaders and catalysts for change in their communities.
Beyond his work in education, Ted is an active member of the community. As a member of the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston Chapter, Inc., he is deeply committed to service, mentorship, and the brotherhood that builds strong, lasting communities. His journey has been marked by a steadfast commitment to serving others, defending the underserved, and advocating for equity in education.
