Debra Oas

Debra Oas has published six fictional novels: "Sinister Bay" in 2019; "Whitewater Witch" in 2022; "Mountain Walker" in 2023; "The Rune Stone Curse" in 2024; "Coastal Menace" in 2025; and most recently, "Veiled Wrath" in 2026. The books are part of a series called "Cryptid Mysteries." The main character is a cryptozoologist. There is one more cryptid mystery planned. "Sinister Bay" is a murder mystery that takes place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. "Whitewater Witch" takes place primarily in Whitewater, Wisconsin, the eerie locale of the famed Second Salem. "Mountain Walker" takes place in the Colorado Mountains; "The Rune Stone Curse" in Northern Minnesota; "Coastal Menace" is set in North Carolina and Debra's newest novel: "Veiled Wrath" takes place in Traverse City, Michigan, and is now available. Each book takes the reader to a new location. Interestingly enough, Debra has lived in each one of these states.

Debra is a retired Aquatics Director and after 27 years in the Aquatics field, has returned to her first love of writing. She studied Journalism in college and worked as a reporter, editor and did freelance writing for various magazines and publications.
