Jim Russo

I’m Jim, and I’m truly honored that you’ve taken a moment to visit my Author Central page.

I've been a lifelong writer whose experiences across faith, labor, technology, and family have shaped my voice and perspective. I studied for the Catholic priesthood and earned a master’s in theology, during which I had the privilege of meeting and speaking with influential figures like Holocaust survivor and author Elie Wiesel, civil activist Cesar Chavez, Pope John Paul II, and Mother Teresa. Before that, my early years included union work, which grounded my appreciation for everyday people and their stories.

While in the seminary my perspective was shaped by theological studies in Israel and Rome.

After leaving the seminary, I transitioned into a long career in computer science, starting as a mainframe programmer and later serving in leadership roles, including systems integrator, manager, and enterprise architect for companies such as General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. Alongside this work, I spent twenty years as an adjunct professor at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses.

I obtained Italian citizenship and have reconnected with my family in Sicily. Through every stage of life, writing has remained a constant passion, allowing me to reflect on faith, work, and the human experience.

Now retired, I focus more fully on writing, family, and personal interests. My greatest joy comes from my children and grandchildren. I hope my work offers something honest, meaningful, and hopeful to those who read it.

Thank you for stopping by.
