Isabella Mukanda

My father was an educator who studied English, Literature, and History in University. Our home was filled with interesting books from worldwide classics to our own Zambian literature and everything in between. My father loved world politics, may be as a product of his time. His Reader's Digests from America, and political magazines that came from South Korea, Germany, and China, enthralled me during those formative years. I spent hours reading them. My dreams of writing were born and strengthened through that time. I wrote my first story when I was 9 and participated in my first Writing Contest when I was 10.

I am a mother of four wonderful daughters, all grown up except for Kuwaha who is 12. Kuwaha and I are on an adventure of our lifetime, writing books, learning to skate, playing basketball, dancing, and deciding what we want to be when we grow up! I work as a Registered Nurse at night, write during the day, dance on Instagram in my free time, study hard, and dream of better days.
