Maureen Henry

Maureen Henry is a children’s book author and award-winning fantasy artist whose storytelling is rooted in nature, nostalgia, and a dash of enchantment. Her debut picture book, Adventures at Breyer Woods: The Case of the Missing Necklace, was inspired by her magical childhood growing up at Breyer Training Area in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Maureen’s artwork, known for its vibrant blend of realism and imagination, features animals, birds, and whimsical dragons brought to life with expressive color and emotional depth. Her fire dragon painting “Smolderdash” sparked the launch of Dragonbeat, a fantasy lifestyle magazine celebrating art and creative wonder.

She lives in Montgomery County, PA with her husband and Cavachon, where she explores antique shops, paints dragons, and travels Pennsylvania in search of their next adventure.
