Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, met and married Maria Elena in Peru over 40 years ago, father of 3 adult daughters, grandfather of 6 grandchildren.
Jesus found me in Austin, Texas, over 45 years ago, and it’s been a good life.
I spent about 30 years doing International Relief and Development work in Latin America and Africa.
When I was in my 50s, I learned about the nasty bits of Canada's history, especially the Indigenous-settler stuff, and I’m always looking for ways to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
Through all the adventures of my life there has been one constant; writing. I’ve been writing since I was a kid, I have several books in the works, and the current one I’m focusing on is a memoir/self-help/Christian book on what I think I know about living by faith. Coming soon …
My genres include poetry and children’s books, and thanks to my daughter, Ashlee Campbell, I am now a published author with Señora Sanasana. Ashlee wrote the book, and brought me in as the rhyming engineer to put it into rhyming verse.
I've been told I go too far sometimes
In coming up with endless rhymes.
But tenacity at last revealed
A talent that to some appealed.
It got me working on a team
Where I could realise my dream
Published at last, a legitimate author
Together with my lovely daughter!
