Samuel Vionnet

Samuel Vionnet is a consultant in impact assessment, management, and strategy. He studied engineering at the Polytechnical School of Lausanne, Switzerland, after which he shifted his focus to the field of sustainability, following his passion. After working briefly as a researcher in environmental sustainability, he worked for six years at Quantis, an international consulting firm for the private sector, before starting his own company in 2015, Valuing Impact.

Samuel has spent the last 15 years delivering hundreds of projects on impact assessment, management, and strategy, and has worked with the biggest multinational companies in the world, including impact investors and family offices. He is part of the Advisory Panel of the Capitals Coalition and has published many influential works (found on his website: www.valuingimpact.com) in the form of white papers that have contributed to disrupting the field of impact assessment and management.

He believes that impact thinking can play a huge role in addressing the environmental and social challenges we face everywhere. He has applied it successfully in his profession, impacting millions of people worldwide through businesses and investors. He believes that sharing this knowledge will fill an important gap in society, as impact thinking is a skill that is critically lacking at the moment.

Apart from his consulting, Samuel is a dad and husband, currently living in Guatemala, where he founded a bouldering gym as well as real estate developments, some of them focused on the integration of low-income families. Supporting philanthropic organizations is high on his list of activities in Guatemala.
