I began my career in education almost 30 years ago. I was a special education school bus driver for 16 years and worked as a para educator between my routes for 13 of those years. During my time as a school bus driver, I went to school to obtain my bachelors and teaching certificate. I have taught K-6 in a residential hospital setting, K-3 self-contained in a small school district and for the last 12 years I have taught developmental preschool in a larger school district in Pierce County Washington. I enjoy working with students who struggle with self-regulation and often support students, families and teachers connected to my building. I am a champion with Neural Education. We empower teachers to grow their practice through understanding how the brain learns and operates. I live in the Tacoma area with my husband of 33 years and my adult son and his girlfriend with an assortment of pets.
