Dinky Diana Smith

Dinky Diana Smith writes about what it means to keep living after everything changes.

In 2011, she lost her youngest daughter to a drunk driver, on Dinky's own birthday. The grief that followed reshaped everything she thought she understood about life and survival. She has spent the years since learning that healing isn't quick, isn't tidy, and isn't about leaving loss behind, but about learning to carry love and loss together, and choosing to live anyway.

That truth runs through everything she makes. She is the creator of the MyTalkingEye podcast, a mental-health show about living after loss and finding honest ways to make life better in its aftermath, and the founder of MyTalkingEye Press. She also designs courses for people working through grief and rebuilding, offering compassion and real experience without platitudes or easy answers.

She is the author of the Still Here series, for readers moving through grief and life's hardest chapters, and the Veridien fantasy series, an epic tale of courage, friendship, and the fight to hold back the dark. Several more projects are on the way.

Dinky lives in Colorado, where she keeps building stories, and spaces, where truth, resilience, and simple humanity are always welcome.
