Dinky Diana Smith writes about what it means to keep living after everything changes.

In 2011, her daughter Lilly was killed by a drunk driver, on Dinky’s own birthday. The grief that followed reshaped everything she thought she understood about life. In the years since, she has learned that healing isn’t quick and isn’t about leaving loss behind. It’s about carrying love and loss together, and choosing to live anyway.

That truth runs through everything she makes. She hosts the My Talking Eye podcast, a show about living after loss and finding honest ways forward. She founded MyTalkingEye Press. She designs courses for people working through grief and rebuilding, offering real experience without platitudes or easy answers.

She is the author of FOR: Living, Losing and Seeing Again and the Still Here series, beginning with Still Here: The Gray Grief, both for readers in grief and life’s hardest chapters. She also writes the Veridien fantasy series, beginning with Veridien: The Keepers, an epic tale of a village built on the ruins of its own loss, and the young people who must face what their ancestors buried.

Veridien: The Void, Book Two, is underway.
