Sharon Ward

Sharon Ward was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, where she was lovingly nurtured by her grandmother alongside her four brothers. From a young age, Sharon discovered a passion for caring for children and helping others, a calling that would eventually shape both her personal and professional life.

​After becoming a mother at the age of eighteen, Sharon devoted herself to raising her family and later immigrated to the United States in 2000 in pursuit of greater opportunities. Over the years, she combined her love for caregiving with a commitment to lifelong learning, earning certifications as a Home Health Aide, Phlebotomist, and Newborn Care Specialist, and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management.

For more than two decades, Sharon has served as a dedicated childcare provider, building lasting relationships with the children and families entrusted to her care. She believes that children are precious gifts and that the bonds formed through love, trust, and nurturing can leave a lifelong impact.

​Sharon is also an entrepreneur, the owner of De'Food Just Nice Catering Service, and a Lifestyle Advisor with Opulence Global. Yet, among her many roles, caring for children remains closest to her heart.

​Sharon is the author of My Nanny and I: A Children's Picture Book About Friendship, Gratitude, Love, and the Special Bond Between a Child and Caregiver, as well as Thank You, Village Keepers: A Children's Book About Community Helpers, Gratitude, and the People Who Help Us. Through her books, she hopes to inspire children to appreciate the people who care for them and to recognize the power of kindness, love, and community.

Today, Sharon is the proud mother of five adult children and grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren, with another blessing on the way. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, singing, songwriting, and finding meaningful ways to spread joy and encouragement to others.

​Inspired by the belief that "Broken crayons can still color," Sharon continues to live a life rooted in faith, compassion, and service—leaving a legacy of love for future generations.
