Gary J. Fishman

GARY FISHMAN spent a career as a freelance contract design engineer in the aerospace and automotive industries. His passions are travel, music gigs and international restaurants of every kind. Together with his wife Mika, they lived and worked in various countries in Europe and beyond before settling in Bedfordshire, England, for a stress-free life with their two soft and cuddly toy cats.

SIXTEEN MONTHS: Diaries of a Backpacker is Gary’s first book and describes his adventures through Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal and India in the days before computers.

His second book, THIRTY YEARS: Memoirs of an International Contractor is an honest account following the author through numerous contracts, nine countries and two continents. Refreshingly insightful and often humorous, it includes personal experiences, highs and lows, anecdotes, and true-life stories of a contractor working mainly within the aerospace and automotive industries, interspersed with major historical events and technological advances as they occur. This is not a technical book.
