Darien Pritchard

Darien Pritchard has been a massage trainer since 1982 and is a past director of Anatomy and Physiology teaching for the Massage Training Institute (UK). He established and ran training schools in Adelaide, South Australia and in Cardiff, Wales, taught massage on a University degree course, and was a guest massage trainer for 20 years at the Royal National College for the Blind (Hereford, UK). Darien has served on the British Massage Therapy Council and the General Council for Massage Therapy (UK), and written many articles and two textbooks to upgrade the standards of the massage profession.

For three decades, Darien has also been a pioneer in focussing on how massage practitioners can protect their hands and body and use them most effectively, including developing Hands-Free Massage 25 years ago - the skilful, sensitive use of the forearm and elbow to save the hands (and was the first person in UK to call this approach Hands Free Massage).
