Cutter began his web career learning HTML while in the US Army at the dawn of the .com era. Cutter got into application development as a Corporate Support Specialist for a regional ISP, just prior to becoming the IT Director of Seacrets, a large resort destination on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Later he became the IT Director of Dealerskins, a hosting provider that developed websites for the Automobile Dealership market.
Cutter spent the first half of his career as a backend developer, before deciding to concentrate on UI development with a heavy focus on User Experience. Cutter began learning JavaScript when it was still in it's infancy, co-authored two books on one of it's earliest application frameworks (ExtJs), and today is involved in a large scale migration from AngularJs to React with a Node proxy to a .NET API, while also working on multiple Open Source projects.
Currently he lives in New Bern, NC with his wife and two dogs. When not in front of the computer, he can generally be found singing on some stage, or walking around with his camera in hand.
