Allie Davis

Allie has loved reading and writing stories since she was old enough to hold a book and a pencil. When a 2nd-grade teacher and members of her family began encouraging her to follow her passion to write, she started dreaming of being an author someday.

Allie’s goal is to create fun, educational books that get kids outside LOOKING UP and AROUND instead of inside LOOKING DOWN at devices all day.

Allie's new series, Cowboy Jim, features an adventurous young boy as he explores his family ranch and lives out his dream of being a cowboy. When a calf goes missing, it’s up to Jim, his sister, and their loyal puppy sidekick to find her. Can Jim bring the calf home when she needs him the most?

From Kirkus Reviews: "A serene, sun-drenched foray into Texan ranch life. . . Davis offers a straightforward third-person narrative, with the typeface cantering across the open skies and grassy fields of Sharma’s illustrations, mostly two-page spreads. The author based the characters and plot on the real-life history of her grandfather, whose appended two-page biography gives the work a timeless feel. Jim’s adventure has fraught moments, but the ranch lifestyle more generally appears laid-back and verdant. Sharma adds variety with subtle background reworkings of flora and fauna and a picture-search challenge. A glossary of cowboy terms rounds out the book."

Moon Games, her debut picture book series for children ages 4-9, includes Clara and the Constellations and Clara and the Constellations Play Kickball: two delightful bedtime story adventures that combine astronomy with STEM learning. These captivating stories are designed to ignite a passion for science and space exploration in young readers.

‍A native of Abilene, Texas, Allie graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Journalism then swiftly moved to the Nashville, Tenn., area to marry her true love, Eric. They continue to reside a little bit outside of Nashville on a mini farm with their two daughters. When she's not writing or reading, Allie can usually be found soaking up sunshine with family or friends, carting her kids to all the places, traveling, singing, or walking the family's dogs, Ruby and Tucker.
