Joanne S Rupp

Joanne S. Rupp is a published children’s author, poet, and short story writer. She holds a BS in Psychology from UW–Green Bay, WI, and an AA in Liberal Arts from Hibbing Community College, MN. With numerous awards in early childhood development, she has spent much of her life teaching and inspiring children.

Currently a certified substitute teacher in Wisconsin (K–12), Joanne believes every child learns differently and thrives when encouraged through creativity and play. Her four children and grandchildren fuel her passion for family, education, travel, and writing. Joanne’s children’s book Butterscotch and Darcie shares how a puppy and his owner build courage and confidence—reflecting her motto: “Gaining confidence, children can be their most individual selves.”

She also authored the travel memoir Australia Everything on the List & More: Melbourne & Uluru, capturing her adventures in Australia with her husband, Terry. Ten percent of net sales support U.S. animal sanctuaries and Moonlit Sanctuary in Australia.
