Volker Schneider

Volker Schneider studied enology and started his professional career in large companies of the wine industry. He then founded the international consulting firm Schneider-Oenologie including an enological laboratory and operating in product development, research, quality control, and consulting in various countries for over 40 years. Before retiring, he lectured advanced wine chemistry at Geisenheim University, Germany. He has published over 450 technical articles as well as several reference books and peer-reviewed scientific papers. However, despite his academic credentials, he is closely connected with practical work in winemaking.
