Mareike Roth is an industrial designer specialised in the creation of emotional relationships between design and user. In 2012, she founded the strategic design studio hoch E in Nuremberg together with Oliver Saiz. Their work has won several design awards.
Mareike is characterised by her curiosity and the constant urge to question the boundaries of design. In order to understand the effect of design on people's behaviour and experience at an even deeper level, she began studying psychology in 2022. This multidisciplinary approach gives her a unique insight into the psychological aspects of design.
In addition, Mareike is active as a lecturer at various universities. As a speaker, she gives talks on her psychology-based approach to design. With the book "Designing Emotion - Methods and Strategies for Designers", she aims to provide fundamental knowledge about the emotional impact of design.
