Stefano Maria Mantello

Stefano Maria Mantello, born in Turin (Italy), lived in Ireland, the Netherlands and Hungary, until finally arriving in Spain, where he currently works as an Italian and English teacher.

Parallel to his university studies (master’s degree in Literature with a specialization in Film History and Criticism and postgraduate master in Learning and Education), he worked as an organizer of cultural events and developed an international musical career as a composer, singer and guitarist, founding the folk-prog band Eridania – active from 1988 to 2005– and collaborating with other rock bands of various tendencies. In 2017, he composed the background music for the audio-guides of the National Museum of Cinema in Turin and the Archaeological Museum of Milan.

He published some articles on film criticism and cultural anthropology and participated in the production of two short films: "La iena di San Giorgio" (2003) –as main actor– and "Victimulion" (2015) –main actor and screenwriter–.

"Cinque controsensi", published in Italy in 2019 for the publishing house “Atene del Canavese”, is his debut in literary fiction. In 2023, the Spanish edition of the book, titled "Cinco contrasentidos", was published on Amazon KDP.
